Welcome to pixie.codes. By accessing or using our QR code generation and management services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, generating QR codes, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

pixie.codes provides:

• QR code generation with customizable designs
• URL redirection services for QR codes
• Analytics and tracking for QR code scans
• Account management for organizing QR codes

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of our service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use pixie.codes to:

• Create QR codes that link to malicious, illegal, or harmful content
• Distribute malware, phishing attempts, or fraudulent schemes
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Harass, abuse, or harm other individuals
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access restrictions
• Overload or interfere with our infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines without prior notice.

5. Payment and Billing

Certain features require payment. By purchasing a paid service:

• You authorize us to charge your selected payment method
• Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice
• QR codes remain functional only while the associated payment is current
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

6. Subscription Cancellation and Data Retention

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

• You will retain full access until the end of your current billing period
• You may reactivate your subscription at any time before it ends
• A confirmation email will be sent to the account holder

After your subscription ends, the following data is subject to deletion:

• QR codes and short links - Your QR codes will stop redirecting and may be permanently deleted
• Click analytics and scan history - All analytics data including scan counts, locations, devices, and timestamps
• Account settings and preferences - Your account configuration and customizations

We recommend exporting any data you wish to retain before your subscription ends. Data deletion may occur immediately upon subscription expiration or within 30 days thereafter. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.

7. QR Code Functionality

While we strive to maintain high availability:

• QR code redirects depend on our servers being operational
• We do not guarantee 100% uptime
• Destination URLs must remain valid and accessible
• We may disable QR codes that violate our terms

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you upload. However, by using our service, you grant us a license to process and display your content as necessary to provide the service. The pixie.codes name, logo, and platform are our intellectual property.

9. Privacy and Data

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our service, you consent to such collection and use. We may collect analytics data when QR codes are scanned, including but not limited to scan location, device type, and timestamp.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, pixie.codes and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Actions of third parties or linked websites

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless pixie.codes, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination:

• Your QR codes may be deactivated
• You remain responsible for any outstanding payments
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

14. Modifications to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

15. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which pixie.codes operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
